After growing up in Albuquerque, I spent four years in the Midwest studying journalism and anthropology at the University of Missouri-Columbia (go Tigers!). A chronic case of wanderlust led me to Southeast Asia and southern Africa after college, where I led experiential education trips and discovered a whole new realm of culinary delights. After skipping around the globe for four years, I found myself right back in New Mexico with a new found appreciation for the wild beauty of my home state.

A hopeless wanderer, aspiring chef, and devoted wordsmith, I love discovering new corners of New Mexico, attempting to recreate the flavors of Southeast Asia in my tiny kitchen, and hunting down stray commas wherever they may hide.
