Today I visited several of the bustling classrooms here at Rio Grande’s Winter Workshop. Some participants were quiet and intensely focused on trying new techniques. Others worked in a happy cacophony of clanging and then paused to examine their progress. I even met an art director for the film industry who had never made jewelry before but was amazing himself by casting a skull ring for the very first time.
Learning and discovery is all around us! I team taught Smart Tools to Help Grow Your Business, and during my part of the class, a participant literally exclaimed, “Ah-ha!” I saw that happening not just in my class, but all over the building today. Rio Grande is wonderful place to be this week.
Here’s a collection of photos from today’s Winter Workshop hustle and bustle. It may just wet your whistle and get you planning your trip to the Workshop next year! Learning new jewelry-making skills is the perfect tool for expanding your business, turning an artistic slump upside down, creating a sabbatical for yourself, and taking a fantastic edu-vacation.
