While 2012 saw the demise of the conferences sponsored by Art Clay World and the PMC Guild, the metal clay community was still clearly interested in a hands-on forum where they could imagine, learn, create, and grow. Luckily, the Sha-Sha Art Jewelry Workshop and Studio stepped in to fill that need with the Metal Clay by the Bay conference.
Sponsored in part by Rio Grande, Art Clay World and Metal Clay Today magazine, the conference will be held August 9-12, 2013, in San Diego, CA, at the newly renovated Westin Hotel in the city’s historic Gaslamp Quarter. With a huge list of metal clay artists and teachers (including Rio’s very own Thomas Flores and friend-of-Rio Patrik Kusek), it’s sure to be an exciting and rewarding educational experience.
Grab your friends, register now and save some money! The early registration fee of $550 will go up to $650 after December 30th, 2012, and then $750 on April 1, 2013. Hurry to reserve your spot now — this conference is limited to just 200 attendees.
